A hurricane came up the coast last weekend. The weather forecasters thought it might hit my city, but the forecasters were wrong. We got a lot of rain, but no hurricane.
Whenever these events happen, there are always people outside just to be a part of it all. That is definitely not something you’ll find me doing. If there’s no emergency pulling me out into an extremely dangerous weather event, I will be inside on my couch, eating soup and watching Clueless.
I’m not afraid of rain. We’re about 60% water, so I figure it can’t hurt much. But you better believe that 70 mph winds and 4 foot floods can hurt. That’s why you won’t catch me egging on newscasters, swimming through streets, or finding out if my car is amphibious. It is not. Neither is yours.
